PUNE: A research and analytics company from the city, SG Analytics, has announced a new initiative titled 'Ek Nishchay' with an aim to develop a culture of selflessness within the organisation and to enable employees to experience the joy of giving. Under the initiative, the company and employees are set to support underpriviledged persons with rations and medicine kits during the difficult times of Covid-19.
The initiative is spearheaded by founder and chief executive officer of the company, Sushant Gupta, in association with the Rotary Club of Bibvewadi. "Under the initiative, Covid-19 affected families and individuals in Pune and in the villages around the city will be provided with ration kits and medicines for 1 month. The initiative is expected to impact over 8,000 families and 35,000 individuals," representatives from the company said.
"The initiative has been started with an aim to impact lives of people affected by the pandemic. Before this initiative, we were supporting several NGOs involved in pandemic relief work. We were providing ration kits to the affected in Pune city. We were also distributing relief material to migrants registered with the police stations in Pune circle. Yet, we felt a distinct and pressing need for a more direct action to impact the lives of a larger group of people who had been devastated by the crises," said Gupta.
The company has already contributed Rs 65 lakh - over Rs 17 lakh contributed by employees - towards various relief efforts. A similar amount has been earmarked for the Ek Nishchay initiative.
