Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Supporting the disadvantaged

The COVID-19 pandemic is wreaking havoc on the less-fortunate population of India. As a huge chunk of the underprivileged people are employed as daily wagers, the outbreak of the contagious disease has left a huge hole in their pockets as income streams have shut down, wiping out all their savings.

With administration implementing heavy restrictions on movements, activities like agricultural labour, flower selling, fish selling, vegetable selling and construction work have come to a halt.

An award-winning, Bangalore-based NGO, Sampark, with an exceptional repertoire comprising 30 years of experience in developmental initiatives throughout India and beyond, is actively supporting SHG Women in Varanasi during the coronavirus crisis.

Sampark is supporting the families by providing them a basket of essential food items and products such as rice, wheat, dal, oil, masala, salt and handwash. The quantities of the basket items are tailored according to the family size.

SG Analytics feels proud to support the initiatives undertaken by Sampark. We feel happy at being able to direct our social responsibility focus on the underprivileged who are deprived of basic necessities critical during the time of this global crisis.

Sampark also follows up with women to facilitate the accessibility of the government welfare measures. They are tracking seven welfare schemes – Pradhan Mantri gareeb Kalyan Ann Yojna (PMGKY), UNDER DIRECT BENEFIT TRANSFER – under Kisan Samman Nidhi, Wages under MNREGA, UNDER DIRECT BENEFIT TRANSFER, Jan Dhan women, Ujjawala scheme, Deen Dayan National Livelihood Mission and any new scheme announced by the government.

SG Analytics is proud to have contributed to a cause that is helping make the lives of the people easier in this time of crisis.
